Hutton Parker Foundation will facilitate two Core/General Operating Support grant cycles in calendar 2025. Please note that 2025 will be the second year that the foundation will be decreasing the amount of funding that we will be awarded, as we work through balancing our accounts and supporting our properties through maintenance projects.
Therefore, grants in 2025 will range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $15,000 and not to exceed 10% of an applicant’s annual operating budget.
Each cycle will consist of a 5-day Open Application Period followed by an approximately 60-day Review & Evaluation Period. See Cycle I and Cycle II details on the right.
Applicants must apply to either Cycle I or Cycle II as described on the right (please read through our classifications to the right as they have adjusted and changed from 2024.) Duplicate applications will not be accepted. Core/General Operating Support funding is limited to SANTA BARBARA COUNTY-based nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organizations only. Any organization awarded funding in 2024 is ineligible to apply for additional funding until 2026.
All questions regarding eligibility, our application process and procedure, and/or any other inquires should be sent to .
All applications must be submitted through Hutton Parker Foundation’s online grantee portal, which does not open until the first date of the application cycle. If you want to work on the application prior to the cycle opening, you can access the full application and attachments below in our google folder.
When the portal opens and you are working to submit a grant, you must create an account, or use a previously established account, to access the online system. The online process is designed so that you can stop and save your work at any time and return to the application as many times as needed prior to submission. Please note that the website link used to access a saved application is different from the link you use to start a new application. When returning to a saved application, after signing on, you will see a list of any applications that are “in process” and any that have been previously submitted.
NOTE: you may complete your responses in a Word document and cut and paste the narrative into the online form. When doing this, please make sure to double check your word limits.
We have worked hard for the last few years to ensure our application only requires the information we need to make an informed decision about your funding request. Please be succinct in your application and provide only the information we request. Since we receive a LARGE volume of applications, we must request that you only submit the financial forms that we have provided and upload them to your application in PDF format. If you submit different forms or QuickBooks forms your application will not be accepted or considered.
In addition to meeting the Foundations’ general eligibility criteria, Core Support requests will be considered for established and well-managed organizations.
