The Santa Maria Sun and Hutton Parker Foundation have partnered to create a unique Media Grant opportunity to benefit local area nonprofit agencies by providing a professionally produced newspaper insert specific to selected applicants.
Applicants apply to Hutton Parker Foundation using the online Media Grant Application. All applications will be reviewed quarterly with applicant notifications made by Foundation staff. Once applicants are notified of approval, they will work directly with The Santa Maria Sun staff to create their insert.
What’s Included: Professionally produced 4-page, center spread insert (4 pages in full color) dedicated exclusively to a single nonprofit organization.
Application Deadline: Open, applications are received year -round and reviewed quarterly based on the schedule below. We will be awarding 8 awards in 2025 in partnership with The Santa Maria Sun.

The Coastal View News and Hutton Parker Foundation have partnered to create a unique Media Grant opportunity to benefit local area nonprofit agencies by providing a professionally produced newspaper insert specific to selected applicants.
Applicants apply to Hutton Parker Foundation using the online Media Grant Application. All applications will be reviewed quarterly with applicant notifications made by Foundation staff. Once applicants are notified of approval, they will work directly with The Coastal View News staff to create their insert.
What’s Included: Professionally produced 2-page, featured story in print and published online and dedicated exclusively to a single nonprofit organization. PDF print for organizational use. Professional interview and photography (1 photojournalism shoot). Organizational rights to all materials.
Application Deadline: Open, applications are received year -round and reviewed quarterly based on the schedule below. We will be awarding 4 awards in 2025 in partnership with The Coastal View News.
